Yori (kana) , read as ''yori'', is a typographic ligature in the Japanese language, consisting of a combination of the hiragana graphs of (/yo/ (:jo)) and (/ri/ (:ɽʲi)), and thus represents their combined sound, より (/yori/ (:joɽʲi)) ''"from"''.
